Thanks for checking the blog out... Hope it offers something a bit different every now & again. Though I come from a pseudo - Mod background (Soul & Ska in particular), I have a diverse taste in music & hope my varied posts will reflect this.

TOM JONES : Live Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas, 1971

Give it a go... decent tracklisting, loads of banter with the (mainly female) audience & a top notch band / orchestra, featuring loads of great session players, including guitar legend Big Jim Sullivan. Tom Jones has one of the all time great voices and has the ability to sing anything ... this is well worth a download.

I grew up with stuff like this playing in the background, along with Dusty Springfield, Scott Walker and the like - all great vocalists. As usual, comments are welcome...

Now, its a knocking bet that the blog's internet stalker just hates Tom Jones & Dusty Springfield. Therefore, the following clips are dedicated to him...



One of my guilty pleasures this "easy listening" material, but I LOVE it.... Depending on reaction, I'll post more Jones & Springfield & sort out some Scott Walker as well....

    "easy listening" it`s just a term. it`s music easy or whatever... i love dusty springfield -amazing voice and great songs. more material like this is welcome mein freund...
