Classic '77 Punk Band from my hometown... The Drones shared the bill with many bigger names of the period, including Joy Division, The Stranglers, Buzzcocks & so on, though never really made it themselves, disbanding in 1979. They left behind a small but decent canon of work, including an EP, LP and several singles.
This album was released in December 1977 - today's post features the 1993 re-release with loads of bonus tracks rounding up the non album vinyl sides.
Oh Skamanc,what can i say ?

Many thanks Mr Ska! Always meant to check these guys out since hearing "Persecution Complex" on the old "Live at the Electric Circus" 10" EP.
ReplyDeleteThere was an album 'Take Shelter- Live In Japan 1997' 25 tracks. Can't remember which blog it came from? (maybe if capt.crawl works it could tell us).
ReplyDeleteThanks
Nice to see The Drones featured here. I was responsible for the, "Further Temptations" album cover design. At that time I managed my own design studio "Art in Heaven" in London's Soho, specialising mostly in graphics for the music business.
