Welcome To My Blog

Thanks for checking the blog out... Hope it offers something a bit different every now & again. Though I come from a pseudo - Mod background (Soul & Ska in particular), I have a diverse taste in music & hope my varied posts will reflect this.

Cheers Skamanc .... I'm not after your undying gratitude, but please leave your thoughts, comments & opinions on the posts & content. I regularly up- & download material, plus buy and trade items. As such, if I have inadvertently "trodden on anyone's toes" in posting anything then please let me know & accept my apologies. Also please support the artists involved & remember that the blog is merely a pointer toward these various downloads, which are stored elsewhere. Legally, any downloads should not be retained for more than a week. So now I've told you the legal bit !

HUMBLE PIE : Live At The BBC (1970)

Great live BBC recording from 1970. Thanks to Pauli...
This features one of my all time heroes, the late
Steve Marriott in his post Small Faces outfit. I will
always treasure the memory of meeting him before his
Band On The Wall (Manchester) gig in 1991.

  1. Herr Pauli has some hidden treasure over in germany! thank you mates top blogging,on steve marriott he had the most soulful voice i've ever heard he lit up the faces, i saw his sons band the strays a while back in a pub in kx , he was the mirror image of steve , they were good, did'nt get chance to talk to him though

  4. Ive still got a treasured signed Band On The Wall flyer from that gig. Even got a drink off Steve's rider - what a man. His fine voice never deserted him - up there with Steve Winwod & Paul Radgers.
