Welcome To My Blog

Thanks for checking the blog out... Hope it offers something a bit different every now & again. Though I come from a pseudo - Mod background (Soul & Ska in particular), I have a diverse taste in music & hope my varied posts will reflect this.

Cheers Skamanc .... I'm not after your undying gratitude, but please leave your thoughts, comments & opinions on the posts & content. I regularly up- & download material, plus buy and trade items. As such, if I have inadvertently "trodden on anyone's toes" in posting anything then please let me know & accept my apologies. Also please support the artists involved & remember that the blog is merely a pointer toward these various downloads, which are stored elsewhere. Legally, any downloads should not be retained for more than a week. So now I've told you the legal bit !

The Ruts : Complete John Peel Sessions

Wonderful compilation of all 14 tracks The Ruts recorded for John Peel / Radio 1. Excellent versions of "Sus", "Babylon's Burning", "In A Rut" & more... Great sound production, as you'd expect from the BBC, and an essential addition to the collection. Just searched this collection out of interest on e-bay & there is only one copy : £11.10 with an hour to go as I type this... Approx 40 mins duration, so there's plenty of room on a CD-r to add the Ruts / Laurel Aitken Peel Session I posted below ! http://rapidshare.com/files/360849653/Ruts_Peel_Sessions.zip As always, crank up the volume, enjoy the songs & leave a comment or two. Thanks !

  2. This is such a great release, have it on vinyl from many years ago.

Just thought I'd let you know I am collecting a heap of Peel & other radio sessions at (the imaginatively titled) http://radiosessions.blogspot.com & redirecting some folk to here
