Welcome To My Blog

Thanks for checking the blog out... Hope it offers something a bit different every now & again. Though I come from a pseudo - Mod background (Soul & Ska in particular), I have a diverse taste in music & hope my varied posts will reflect this.

Cheers Skamanc .... I'm not after your undying gratitude, but please leave your thoughts, comments & opinions on the posts & content. I regularly up- & download material, plus buy and trade items. As such, if I have inadvertently "trodden on anyone's toes" in posting anything then please let me know & accept my apologies. Also please support the artists involved & remember that the blog is merely a pointer toward these various downloads, which are stored elsewhere. Legally, any downloads should not be retained for more than a week. So now I've told you the legal bit !

The Faces, Paris Theatre, London, 4/1/73

Formed from the ashes of the Small Faces, when Ronnie Lane, Ian MacLagan & Kenney Jones joined forces with Ron Wood & Rod Stewart. (It took, therefore, two men to replace Steve Marriott !!) The result ? One of the hardest working (& drinking) acts of the 70s and an excellent outfit to boot. This material was recorded live @ London's Paris Theatre on January the 4th 1973. (The venue for many of this era's live bootlegs, most from the BBC). If enough favourable comments are received then I'll dig up some more Faces stuff. Can't say fairer than that... http://rapidshare.com/files/365579302/Faces_London__4_1_73_.rar

  3. I love the Faces. I always thought they would have rivaled the Stones if Rod didnt have a dual career. But, thats just me. I take a lot of heat for being a Rod Stewart fan, but I stand by anything he made with the Faces, or his solo career before 74
