Welcome To My Blog

Thanks for checking the blog out... Hope it offers something a bit different every now & again. Though I come from a pseudo - Mod background (Soul & Ska in particular), I have a diverse taste in music & hope my varied posts will reflect this.

Cheers Skamanc .... I'm not after your undying gratitude, but please leave your thoughts, comments & opinions on the posts & content. I regularly up- & download material, plus buy and trade items. As such, if I have inadvertently "trodden on anyone's toes" in posting anything then please let me know & accept my apologies. Also please support the artists involved & remember that the blog is merely a pointer toward these various downloads, which are stored elsewhere. Legally, any downloads should not be retained for more than a week. So now I've told you the legal bit !

Hands up who's still got their freebie live EP from the earliest pressing of Snap ? I have... it was the only reason I skinned myself to buy the double album. A great addition to the Jam collection, as three of the four tracks remain unreleased in any other form.
(Only "Move On Up" was released post-split on a live compilation). ".. Depression" was never a fave of mine, though there is a great version of the beautiful Marriott -Lane track "Get Yourself Together" and what remains one of my Jam highlights all these years later "But I'm Different Now". Download to safeguard your vinyl rarity or to marvel for the 1st time...both cool with me !!

  1. And a great cover shot taken by Virginia Turbett at Sheffield University. I know, I was standing next to her when she took it!!!!

  2. Yet another great post, cheers SMH

  3. Thanks for this mate, got snap but never managed to get ep,was move on up on extras?

  4. The ep has actually been released on cd as part of the 2cd version of Snap that came out a couple of years ago. Whether it was limited that time around too I don't know. The vinyl is one of my favourite Jam items. A mate of mine actually melted his when he fell asleep in front of the living room fire while sorting through some vinyl - devastated to say the least!

  5. hallo mein blogfather

  6. Thanks all. I'll check Extras later but of the top off my head I suspect that was a studio version. In fact shall I just post extras & have done with it ?

  7. Extras version was a studio take. The album will be posted later or early tomorrow morning...
