Welcome To My Blog

Thanks for checking the blog out... Hope it offers something a bit different every now & again. Though I come from a pseudo - Mod background (Soul & Ska in particular), I have a diverse taste in music & hope my varied posts will reflect this.

Cheers Skamanc .... I'm not after your undying gratitude, but please leave your thoughts, comments & opinions on the posts & content. I regularly up- & download material, plus buy and trade items. As such, if I have inadvertently "trodden on anyone's toes" in posting anything then please let me know & accept my apologies. Also please support the artists involved & remember that the blog is merely a pointer toward these various downloads, which are stored elsewhere. Legally, any downloads should not be retained for more than a week. So now I've told you the legal bit !

THE JAM, Toronto 23/5/81

Here's a great Jam gig that I've been sitting on for a while, after I received it on a data dvd. Excellent recording from the Masonic Hall, Toronto, dated May 23rd 1981.

Thanks to Gobshyte (Mondo de Meubles blog) for the great artwork - check out his excellent site - link below.

This is for blog visitor & Jam fan Bill, plus my old muckers Ally, Stacks & Dougal. Also for Marlene Smith, my one time true love, of North York, Ontario.

  1. Can't wait to check this one out!!! What a setlist!!
    Thanks Skaman!

  2. Cheers for the website Skaman. Nice to see you & your ilk flyin' the flag for twotone/new wave/spirit of '79...

Havin a bit of a TT revisited phase at the moment. Weirdly sparked off by seeing my niece sing Iko Iko at a festival last weekend...

...that led to the Belle Stars which naturally led to The Bodysnatchers and so on...

  3. Thanks for the comments lads. Loads more Jam to come, pus Jonathan Richman, Otis redding, The Stax Volt Revue 1967 & other class sounds...

  4. woohoo!thats my artwork, fame at last!!!!where did you find it?

  5. id love to think theres a place apart from my blog where people could d/l artwork ive done, that would be brilliant!!please if you have a link for it id love to see it,cheers!hope all is well old chap

  6. Cool ta mate. Great artwork that kid, that's why I posted it. The file was on a dvd that lacked any sort of art / cover designs. Just googled a few combinations of Jam / Weller / Toronto & the date & came up with that. Don't have the link as I changed the title when saving the pics.

Why not have a Mondo 2 type thing with artwork you've designed ?

  7. Great post thanks a lot

  8. Re-Up Please...
