MILES DAVIS "LOST QUINTET" (France 1969)

Great live material from the Davis Quintet in late 1969, shortly before Bitches Brew was released. Thie quintet includes various sidemen from the recording sessions (see previous Davis posts), including Chick Corea (whom I've had the great privilege of seeing live twice) and Jack de Johnette. The various set lists include jazz standards as well as material from the forthcoming Bitches Brew - essential material from a fantastic outfit...

    to hear Miles Davis is so fantastic. he is really a genius.one of my first jazz/Davis records is the soundtrack of the french movie "lift to the scaffold" fom 1957/58 - what a atmospere.
