Welcome To My Blog

Thanks for checking the blog out... Hope it offers something a bit different every now & again. Though I come from a pseudo - Mod background (Soul & Ska in particular), I have a diverse taste in music & hope my varied posts will reflect this.

Cheers Skamanc .... I'm not after your undying gratitude, but please leave your thoughts, comments & opinions on the posts & content. I regularly up- & download material, plus buy and trade items. As such, if I have inadvertently "trodden on anyone's toes" in posting anything then please let me know & accept my apologies. Also please support the artists involved & remember that the blog is merely a pointer toward these various downloads, which are stored elsewhere. Legally, any downloads should not be retained for more than a week. So now I've told you the legal bit !

DETOUR 7"s x 8 (Rare Mod Vinyl)

Well, here's a Detour fest this Sabbath, courtesy of Jonny's marvellous collection. All tracks from the 8x 7"s seen above - some great stuff here, so please be sure to leave a note or two of thanks for Jonny. Thanks.

All tracks & artwork are on this one file for ease of access...

& here's a re-up via Mediafire (22/9/11) as requested by Pete :

  1. Amazing Stuff !!!
Thanks Skamanc & Jonny as well.

  2. Thanks for this bloomin' great collection of singles.

  3. Great stuff. More please!

  4. This is exactly as it should be. A great contribution makes for a brilliant post then some decent comments to follow up. Blogging 101 if you like...

  5. Brilliant, bought my mod vinyl from Dizzy before he started the label, and once the label got going only bought albums(Cd's) got everything on Cd right up to and including the Paisley Archive stuff. The singles are hard to get.wish i bought them at the time!!!.Hopefully there's more to come CHEERS.

  6. I sold most of my detour records for a tidy packet on ebay a few years ago got some really good money for some really crap records :)

  7. This post looks tasty!
Any chance of a mediafire re-up?
Rapidshare doesn't do it for me.

  8. Here y'go Pete...

  9. Absolutely brillant!
    You are the man!

  10. By the way: Since you are so brillant at unearthing "purple hearts from pastures gone", how about these late 80's comps:
    "Unicorn One: Beyond Tomorrow" (Unicorn)
    "Unicorn Two: Modern Times" (Unicorn)
    "American Heart & Soul" (HiLo)

    Best regards

  11. I'll make some enquiries & see what I can unearth Pete...
