Welcome To My Blog

Thanks for checking the blog out... Hope it offers something a bit different every now & again. Though I come from a pseudo - Mod background (Soul & Ska in particular), I have a diverse taste in music & hope my varied posts will reflect this.

Cheers Skamanc .... I'm not after your undying gratitude, but please leave your thoughts, comments & opinions on the posts & content. I regularly up- & download material, plus buy and trade items. As such, if I have inadvertently "trodden on anyone's toes" in posting anything then please let me know & accept my apologies. Also please support the artists involved & remember that the blog is merely a pointer toward these various downloads, which are stored elsewhere. Legally, any downloads should not be retained for more than a week. So now I've told you the legal bit !

Miles Davis died 20 years ago today. Here is a 3x CD set of the Complete Sessions for the excellent "In A Silent Way" album (1969).

Had "Bitches Brew" on in the motor all day & am off to watch his Isle of Wight (1970) performance in a bit...

For fellow fans Herr Pauli & Mike Higgin.

The above blurb was the original text for this post, intended to go ob#n the blog 11 days ago.... I was working it up on the correct date when Virgin pulled the plug on me (yet again.. s'pose I should pay the bill eh ??) Anyway here it is in all its glory...

  1. FIRST OF ALL : skamanch is BACK !!! we miss you.

    amazing post today.thanx.

i`m a jazz fan and my love starts with miles.
jazz is a wonderful kind of music. i don`t like these hardcore jazz fans- in germany we have a arrogant jazz scene with fucking radio shows-these people build a "ghetto" for jazz music. i couldn`t give a shit of all the terms.
    it`s a great music -that`s it !!!
and so many parallels between hendrix, moon, marriott and miles, charlie parker and chet baker. it is the soul and the heart that create music...
