Welcome To My Blog
Thanks for checking the blog out... Hope it offers something a bit different every now & again. Though I come from a pseudo - Mod background (Soul & Ska in particular), I have a diverse taste in music & hope my varied posts will reflect this.
Cheers Skamanc .... I'm not after your undying gratitude, but please leave your thoughts, comments & opinions on the posts & content. I regularly up- & download material, plus buy and trade items. As such, if I have inadvertently "trodden on anyone's toes" in posting anything then please let me know & accept my apologies. Also please support the artists involved & remember that the blog is merely a pointer toward these various downloads, which are stored elsewhere. Legally, any downloads should not be retained for more than a week. So now I've told you the legal bit !

Laurel Aitken & The Ruts : Peel Session 12/5/80
Here's another dusty file from my stash - John peel Session (12/5/80) featuring Laurel Aitken with the Ruts.
This is the first post in a short series featuring... yes, The Ruts / Ruts DC.
I saw the late Laurel Aitken & The Potato 5 @ the Free Trade Hall, Manchester as part of an Anti-Apartheid All-Dayer around 1984/5. Pretty good...

ReplyDeleteLoadsa Big Ups SKAMANCHACKETT !!!! I too have a spine thats wasting away, and like you the music keeps me goin'. Thanks to youre blog, ive replaced lotsa music I had nicked from me about 7 years ago. Cant work now, so I'll never replace it all. Ive paid for it once so I have no guilt! However stuff like this legendary and so hard to find. Is there much Long Tall Shorty on here? Looks like the label asks for their releases to be removed though, can't blaim em just a shame for folk who bought the music then had it stolen/lost/destroyed. Any keep it up. I have Jam at Pink Pop 80 or 81 + Weller Wildwood sessions, if any use to you... will check back here in few days. Take care and take glucosamine!
