Welcome To My Blog

Thanks for checking the blog out... Hope it offers something a bit different every now & again. Though I come from a pseudo - Mod background (Soul & Ska in particular), I have a diverse taste in music & hope my varied posts will reflect this.

Cheers Skamanc .... I'm not after your undying gratitude, but please leave your thoughts, comments & opinions on the posts & content. I regularly up- & download material, plus buy and trade items. As such, if I have inadvertently "trodden on anyone's toes" in posting anything then please let me know & accept my apologies. Also please support the artists involved & remember that the blog is merely a pointer toward these various downloads, which are stored elsewhere. Legally, any downloads should not be retained for more than a week. So now I've told you the legal bit !

Captain Sensible : King Peel Session (1978) & Live @ Brunel University 1990

Here's a couple of curios from Raymond Burns aka Captain Sensible. First up is a Peel Session with his outfit King (11/7/78) after he quit The Damned for the first time. The next file is a recording of the Captain live @ Brunel University in 1990. A treat for all Cap'n & Damned fans... http://rapidshare.com/files/360427929/King_Sensible__-_John_Peel_Session11.7.78.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/360427930/capt-bruneluni-1990.rar

  1. Thanks a lot for this. I've been after that King session for decades! I used to have it on tape but lost it shortly after. Let's see if it sounds as good as I remember.

  2. Holy crap! This is great!
I love the Captain and never really heard of King before. The sound quality is awsome. And then to top it off, to find 'I Can't Be Happy Today' cloaked within 'My Baby Don't Care', a song I never heard of before. Whata treat!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
