I have around 1000 files on there though think it's time for a proper alternative. Some recent uploads have disappeared from there & its a pain in the arse tohave to re-do them.
I also know that a lot of blog visitors have had problems accessing files via rapidshare on occasion.
As such, I need to find a new provider that I can completely rely on. I've tried several in the past, though files seem to be taken off very quickly.
Any thoughts and recommendations would be very welcome... Thanks.
Try mediafire
ReplyDeleteI've always liked mediafire
ReplyDeleteThirded.
ReplyDeleteI never had any problem with Rapidshare but if you like a new one,i agree for Mediafire mate.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great blog.
If I have the time (& keep Virgin broadband on for more than a few weeks at a time, lol !!) I reckon I'll try to post stuff with two links - Rapidshare & Mediafire & see how that goes. Thanks for the help lads...
ReplyDeleteMediafire is the least problematical in my experience.

I've been experimenting with Mediafire over the weekend, based on the above advice & my previous (ableit limited) experience on that site...
ReplyDeleteNot been able to upload a single file in its entirety - either on Virgin B/Band or even Tmobile as a last resort (paid for the wireless then learned Mrs SMH had finally paid up her share of the Virgin Bill lol).
Anyway - currently reuploading some stuff to Rapidshare - allows me to load multiple files simultaneously & it ain't a problem if I click over to another tab. Mediafire doesn't seem to like that & "stalls" uploading if this occurs...
In my earlier blogging days I was advised to use Sharebee, as they offer several providers for each file uploaded, though they don't all seem to work... May try them again ???
Still none the wiser & have debated paying for a provider until I saw the prices being listed...
Mediafire seems best to me, been using it for a fair few months and not had any problems yet
ReplyDeleteTry Megaupload. I used them to post boots on other sites and has worked a treat for me.

Hi mate :-)
ReplyDeleteFirst, many, many thanks for your great stuff !
Mediafire doesn't work with JDownloader :-(
Anyway, it's a good host (no waiting time, parallel downloads).
I use rapidshare, megaupload, filesonic and fileserve without any problem.
Keep out the great job ;-)
